Young Investors to get Cash Incentive

The Jamaica Stock Exchange in association with All Media Services Ltd. announced its quarterly cash prizes for the participants in the Young Investors competition. At a press briefing at the Stock Exchange on Monday, July 19, 2010, Mrs. Marlene Street Forrest, General Manager of the Jamaica Stock Exchange and Mr. Owen James, CEO, All Media Services, told the media that an incentive programme will be put in place which they hope will motivate the Young Investors to increase their returns as well as attract other young people to the game.
The Young Investors’ programme is aired at 1:00 p.m. on TVJ on Sundays during “On A Personal Note”, which is hosted by Mr. Owen James. The three students  participated the JSE Stock Market Game for High Schools  2009, and finished in the top five were given $100,000.00 virtual money in December 2009 to trade and compete against each other. They will be rewarded at the end of each quarter and at the end of the competition in December, so follow their progress over the next five months on TVJ.
