SGJ Management Changes

The Bank of Nova Scotia Jamaica Limited has advised that the following senior management changes are consequent on its recent restructuring and reorganization exercise affecting certain specific areas of the bank’s operations (including manpower utilization) designed to achieve greater efficiencies.

1. Effective November 4, 2009, the positions of Senior Vice President, General Counsel & Company Secretary, previously held by Kerri-Gaye Brown and
Vice President, Electronic Financial Services and Retail Banking, previously held by Elena Villafana-Sylvester, have been made redundant . Consequently Keri-Gaye Brown and Mrs. Villafana-Sylvester are no longer senior officers and employees of the Bank as at that date.
2. Julie Thompson-James has been appointed to the position of Vice President, Senior Legal Counsel and in that capacity will serve as Chief Compliance Officer of the Bank with effect from November 4, 2009.
3. Maya Walrond, who previously held the post of Senior Vice President Customer Experience and Technology Innovation has been appointed Senior Vice President Non Branch Sales and Service, effective November 6, 2009.
4. Rosemarie Pilliner, who previously held the post of Executive Vice President Shared Services and Operations has been appointed to the post of Executive Vice President Shared Services and Operations – Northern Caribbean Hub Scotiabank, effective November 6, 2009.
