The Jamaica Stock Exchange will on March 30, 2009 allow mobile customers to receive free daily “Text Alert” regarding the JSE’s Main Index. This was made possible by the partnering of the JSE, NCB Capital Markets Ltd. and LIME.
On Friday, March 13, 2009, Miss Tanya Powell (right) Asst. VP Private & Retail Client Services NCB Capital Markets, Mrs. Marlene Street Forrest, General Manager JSE (centre) and Miss Suzette McNaught, IT Manager, JSE signed the contract at the JSE’s office.
The JSE recognizes the fact that Jamaicans have become very technologically savvy and our investors in particular have grown accustomed to using available technology to facilitate decisions that will keep them ahead of inflation and economic downturn, and also to protect their wealth.
