JSE Workshop presenter Mrs. Camille Facey

Mrs. Camille Facey, Attorney-at-Law, one of the Facilitators of “The Changing Role of the Corporate Secretary” Workshop.

Camille Facey is an Attorney-at-Law with over twenty years experience in the corporate world and the boardroom. She has held senior management positions such as Regional Vice President/ Senior Vice President/ General Counsel & Corporate Secretary in various publicly traded companies in the financial and telecommunications sectors. In these roles she gained significant experience in Corporate Law and Corporate Governance.

 

She is currently a partner in the law firm FACEYLAW (L. Howard Facey & Co) where her practice is primarily focused on company and commercial law, probate and conveyancing. In addition to her legal skills, Camille’s business acumen and leadership skills are highly developed. She has achieved excellence in creating, developing and leading high performing, highly effective and engaged professional teams.

 

Camille is passionate about the development of her country and has always played an active role in the community. She currently serves as the Vice President of the International Women’s Forum Jamaica; she is a Director on the boards of various voluntary organizations; she is the Chairman of a Strata Corporation, a member of the Jamaican Bar Association and the Private Sector Organization of Jamaica.

 

Over the years she has served as the Deputy Chair of the Caribbean Association of National Telecommunications Organizations (CANTO), Director of the National Foundation for the Development of Science & Technology; Deputy Chair of the Cable & Wireless Jamaica Foundation; Director and Honorary Secretary of the National Development Foundation of Jamaica; Director of the Universal Access Fund Company Limited and as a Member of the Board of Trustees of Caribbean & Central American Action (CCAA).
