The Jamaica Stock Exchange is pleased to present its training workshop on Risk Management in October. This is in keeping with the JSE’s mandate to disseminate relevant information that will enable industry professionals to analyze risk and make prudent decisions, as well as to assist stakeholders to explore new products.
The workshop on Risk Management is a practical, hands-on course. It is to be conducted by Dr. Mike Piwowar (Who is Principal at Securities Litigation and Consulting Group, Inc.) and will be held October 11 – 12, 2007 at the KnutsfordCourtHotel from 8:30 – 4:30 p.m. each day.
Dr. Piwowar has published articles in leading academic journals including the Journal of Finance, the Journal of Financial Markets and the Journal of Law and Economics. A number of Dr. Piwowar’s research have been mentioned in many prominent newspapers and financial publications such as The Economist, The Wall Street Journal, The Financial Times, The San Francisco Chronicle, The Bond Buyer, and Bloomberg News. He has made presentations at a number conferences and seminars, to audiences of academic finance researchers and securities market professionals.
Participants of these courses will earn credits towards Jamaica Stock Exchange’s certification programme and will also be entitled to discounts on future courses.
