JSE Stock Market Game 2012/13 Season

Calabar High School will try to make it four consecutive wins in the Jamaica Stock Exchange (JSE) Stock Market Game for High Schools in the 2012-13 season.
The Jamaica Stock Exchange’s Stock Market Game for High Schools commenced on November 5, 2012 and will end on April 26, 2013. This season, there are six first time entrants, namely, Cornwall College, Ascot High, Trench Town High, Innswood High, Melgrove High and Willowdene High from Spanish Town. The new entrants complete a list of thirty (30) schools headed by former champion Hillel Academy, Kingston College, St. Jogo High, Campion College, Port Antonio High, Kingston Technical as well as Old Harbour High and Guys Hills two new comers last year that finished in the top ten last season.
 
This website based simulation game allows students to buy and sell stocks traded on the JSE stock market. Each participating school is comprised of two students who will trade and compete against each other and students from other schools over a seven months period. Each student is given a portfolio with JA$100,000.00 to invest and the students with the highest portfolio value at the end of the period are declared the winners. The school with the highest aggregate portfolio value will be crowned the JSE School Champion.
