This year the Jamaica Stock Exchange will again recognize listed companies and stockbrokerages who have upheld the highest standards of best practices in respect to the development of the capital market at the JSE’s Best Practices Awards Dinner on December 6, 2006 at the Hilton Hotel at 7:30 p.m.
The awardees will be chosen from among our listed companies in the following categories for the year 2005:
· JSE Best Practice Annual Report
· JSE Best Practice Corporate Disclosure & Investor Relations
· JSE Best Practice Website
· JSE Best Practice Investor Relations
· JSE Best Performing Company
The awardees from among stockbrokerages will be chosen in the categories of: JSE Best Practice Website and JSE Best Practice Investor Relations.
The specific objectives of the event are to: recognize our listed companies and stockbrokerages in the industry who uphold best practice standards; enhance the relationship between the JSE and its stakeholders and create an awareness of the standards for best practices in the areas to be adjudged.
