JAMAICA STOCKEXCHANGE NATIONAL INVESTOR EDUCATION WEEK 2012
50TH INDEPENDENCE SMEs GRANTS
The Jamaica Stock Exchange will be hosting its 5th National Investor Education Week from October 1-5, 2012 coinciding with Jamaica’s 50th year independence celebration. The Stock Exchange wishes to play its role during this period of celebration by joining forces with members of the financial sector in making a substantial contribution that can lead to further growth and development of our country for another 50 years and beyond.
Jamaicans are a resilient and have withstood many challenges over the years. Jamaicans are very entrepreneurial and with this in mind the Stock Exchange will partner with organizations during our National Investor Education Week to donate 50 prizes of $50,000.00 each to individuals who wants to start their own business or provide support for existing business with a plan for expansion and growth.
For persons to access these funds they must submit to the Stock Exchange a very simple business plan highlighting their organizational structure, use of funds and cash flow projection. The companies that will be awarded will be announced at our National Investor Education Week Outreach.
The Company (ies) that partner with us will be:
1. A member of the adjudicating committee
2. The company where the account is held for the business
3. Included in our radio and television interviews
4. The one to present information on the accounts to the winners and
5. The company that holds workshop, seminars or other outreach with the group, to assist them to grow, develop and build strong relationship
Your company can provide all or part of the funding for this event. We are looking forward to a fruitful and rewarding partnership for this week.
