Guardian Holdings Ltd. announces its acquisition of 20% of the issued share capital of the Grupo Mundial Tenedora S. A., a Panama listed company, which is the parent company of the Mundial Group, the recognized market leader in insurance, in Panama.
GHL has paid USD26,645,805 in consideration for the allotment of 2,960,645 newly issued shares amounting to 20.1% of the issued share capital of Mundial. In accordance with the stated corporate expansion strategies of GHL and of Mundial, GHL’s investment will finance corporate or portfolio acquisitions in Central and Latin America. The two companies have already identified and are currently reviewing a number of investment opportunities within the region.
