Junior Market Listing – Eppley Cumulative Redeemable Preference Shares
Eppley Limited today listed its Cumulative Redeemable Preference Shares -2019 on the Board of the Junior Market of the Jamaica Stock Exchange.
The Company listed 99,998,667 Cumulative Redeemable Preference Shares at $6.
The number of shares sold was achieved through two offers via prospectuses posted on the JSE’s website on November 4, 2014 and December 9, 2014 respectively inviting offers for its securities. The offers opened Tuesday November 11, 2014 and Tuesday December 16, 2014 respectively. Each offer closed on the same day on which it was opened. There were 261 applications resulting in 255 shareholders. The 99,998,667 units were offered to the market were valued at $599,992,002.
Mrs. Marlene Street Forrest stated that Eppley has proven to business owners that money is available for businesses to expand, retire debt or re-tool via the stock market once they are able to convince the investing public that their business ideas are sound and viable. She implored the government and the business community to use the market to drive growth in the economy, which has been lacking for many years.
