The JSE Direct Market Access (DMA) Platform is a state-of-the-art platform designed for investors looking to maximize their returns in overseas securities markets. Our platform is built on a foundation of transparency, cost-effectiveness, and user-friendliness, making it an essential tool for brokers who are conducting trades on investors’ behalf.
Direct Market Access (DMA) provides a gateway to the electronic facilities and order books of financial market exchanges that facilitate daily securities transactions. The JSE DMA platform allows investors, through their local brokers, access to stock exchanges in other jurisdictions. We currently provide access to the stock exchanges in Canada and will be expanding our offerings to include the US stock exchanges and other stock exchanges worldwide. We will allow investors in foreign jurisdictions to purchase securities on the Jamaica Stock Exchange through DMA participating brokers.
With our extensive suite of features, brokers can easily manage clients’ investments and track their portfolios. Issues of transparency and visibility of the investor’s portfolio are non-existent with the JSE’s DMA platform since each investor’s holdings are reflected in the JCSD’s core platform down to the beneficial owner level. This makes it easy for the investor to generate a statement, from the JCSD portal, reflecting holdings purchased in foreign jurisdictions.
