Carib Cement Co. – Negotiations with National Workers Union.

CCC is currently involved in wage negotiations with the National Workers’ Union (NWU) representing the hourly paid workers at its Rockfort Plant for the period July 2004 to June 2006. The Company boasts an unblemished record in the recent past of bilateral settlements with groups representing the workers. Carib Cement is anxious to reach a win-win resolution for all involved at the earliest possible time. Carib Cement will be encouraging more dialogue to solve what it terms an internal family matter through the normal industrial relations channels. The Company has considered its offer to be very reasonable and maintained that its approach could only be to commit to increases that are sustainable in the long run.
