The JSE congratulates Ms. Jerrylee Young on her win of the Market Research Competition 2023/2024 Season – Quarter 1.
Ms. Young presently serves as a Financial Analyst at the Financial Services Commission while in the process of pursuing an MSC in Corporate Finance from the University of the West, Mona, where she also earned a BSc. degree in Accounting.
Ms. Young says the spark for her passion in Accounting and Finance was ignited during her days at the Glenmuir High School’s Career Fair in third form. She says the encounter became the catalyst for her profound interest in the field and credits her much of her knowledge in valuing both local and international companies to her devoted lecturer, Mrs. Kiesha Bailey, from the Mona School of Business and Management.
Ms. Young attributes her accomplishments to her unwavering faith in God and the unwavering support of her mother, who she says, has been a constant presence through every obstacle she has faced. She says, besides her professional endeavours, she finds solace in immersing herself in literature and cherishes moments of togetherness with her well cherished family and friends.
When Ms. Young was informed that she’s the winner, her response was “I am elated to have been chosen as the first quarter winner. Thank you!!”
