AFS Litigation

It has been brought to the attention of the Jamaica Stock Exchange that there is an error in its statement to the market published on 10th April 2014 concerning Access Financial Services Limited in that, the litigation referred to in that statement has not been initiated by Marcus James against Access Financial Services Limited but against Brian Goldson, Christopher Berry, Gary Peart and Mayberry West Indies Limited. The error in the statement of 10th April 2014 is regretted. As there is ongoing litigation, the Jamaica Stock Exchange refrains from further comment on the dispute. The corrected statement follows:

By letter 9th April 2014, the Company Secretary of Access Financial Services Limited made disclosure to the Jamaica Stock Exchange of an ongoing dispute with its Chief Executive Officer, Marcus James. In the course of the dispute, litigation has been initiated by Mr. James against Brian Goldson, Christopher Berry, Gary Peart and Mayberry West Indies Limited, and it is reported that, pending a full hearing of an application for injunction, a Judge of the Supreme Court granted an injunction to 23rd April 2014 against the named Defendants. In light of the ongoing litigation, the Jamaica Stock Exchange refrains from issuing further details of the dispute.”
