The Jamaica Stock Exchange’s Best Practices Awards will be held at the Jamaica Pegasus on Wednesday, December 7, 2011. Awards will be presented to companies that have upheld best practices standards in the following areas:
Corporate Disclosure & Investor Relations
Best Performing Company
The PSOJ/JSE Awards for Corporate Governance
This year there will be new awards. This category is known as the Member Dealers Awards. These awards will be strictly for the Brokerage Houses which have upheld best practices standards in 2010. Awards will be given in the following categories;
ü Investor Relations (Stock Brokerages)
ü Website
ü Revenue Generation & Market Activity and
ü Expansion of Listed Company Base
Last year NCB walked away with the Governor General’s Award for Excellence. In 2012 who will walk away with the Member Dealer’s Award and most importantly who will walk away with the Governor General Awards?
