Lisa Zbitnew
Lisa Zbitnew served as President, SonyBMG, and President, BMG Canada, for over 12 years. As the first female label president, Ms Zbitnew achieved record growth & profit for the label, making Canada the highest selling territory per capita for superstars like Rod Stewart, Foo Fighters, Tony Bennett, Avril Lavigne and the Dixie Chicks. Under Lisa’s regime, SonyBMG maintained a stellar domestic roster as well including Celine Dion, Leonard Cohen, The Guess Who, and K’naan.
After spending two years as the CEO of War Child North America, a charity that has long be associated with the music industry, Lisa started up Bandwidth Music, an entertainment company focused on artist clients as well as corporate clients looking to build their brand in the music space. Her diverse client list includes Cyndi Lauper, the Toronto District School Board and Astral Media, Canada’s largest radio broadcast chain. She is often asked to speak on the changing music landscape as it pertains to the future of the music business in a digital world.
