The worldwide merger of British American Tobacco p.l.c. (BAT) with Rothmans International B.V. (Rothmans) was completed on June 7, 1999. The merger brings together Rothmans Holdings through Rothman Holdings (Caricom) Limited of 47.2% (114,494,560 stock units) Carreras Group Limited Group Limited and 3.2% (7,766,971 stock units) held by Millbank Nominees Ltd., a subsidiary of BAT. BAT now owns 50.4% or 122,261,531 stock units.
