Winner of JSE’s 2021 Venture Capital Pitch – Science Teacher, Mr. Christopher Bennett

Mr. Christopher Bennett, fresh out of Teachers’ college and now a Science Teacher at Holy Childhood High School, sees Edunomics as one aspect of his vision to transform education. Another is change at the policy level. (excerpt from The Gleaner)

Mr. Christopher Bennett collects his winning prize for his entry in the JSE’s 2021 Venture Pitch, which was voted as the “best pitch” by the judges.

24-year-old Christopher Bennett, an educator by profession, personally believes that education in our country has been stagnant for too long and that this was made worse by the lack of preparation by our outdated education system. Mr. Bennett says, “the disruption has been there, but COVID-19 has highlighted the gap for us and the country needs to develop a hybrid model for education, with the increased ability to work and learn remotely”.

Thus, Edunomics was founded.

The Edunomics founder and CEO liken the business model to that of a streaming service like Netflix, which offers full use of the content for one flat fee.
