Tropical Battery Company Limited (TROPICAL) has advised that it will not be able to meet the deadline of January 1, 2021, to file its Audited Financial Statements for the year ended September 30, 2020.
The Company states that the delay is due to disruptions caused by the current global Covid-19 pandemic and its impact on the auditing and actuarial processes for the Company’s financial statements. TROPICAL had submitted its Unaudited Financial Statements for the 4th Quarter, ended September 30, 2020, which was published to the market by the Jamaica Stock Exchange on November 14, 2020.
TROPICAL has requested an extension of the filing deadline for 15 days, until January 15, 2021, by which date the Company anticipates to file its Audited Financial Statements.
TROPICAL further advises that an advisory will be published in the newspaper.
