Sharnakae Stewart

A highly motivated, results-driven professional with excellent written and oral communication skills, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work well with individuals at all levels. Ms. Stewart possesses a wealth of experience in strategic planning, performance monitoring, research and analysis.

Ms. Stewart has 15 years of service in the public sector, beginning at the Bank of Jamaica and later at the Port Authority of Jamaica where she was responsible for managing the organization’s strategic planning and performance monitoring functions. She also provided critical support to the PAJ’s decision making process through rigorous research and analyses and routinely participated in cross functional teams commissioned to evaluate business cases and make recommendations to the executive management.

In her current role of Senior Manager – Business Analytics, Strategy and Communication at Scotia Investments Jamaica Ltd, Ms. Stewart plays a key role in formulation and execution of strategy and the management of the organization’s key priorities. She is also integrally involved in Scotiabank’s regional asset management business, which spans Cayman, Trinidad, St Lucia and Jamaica, where she provides support in the areas of strategy, profit planning, governance and compliance.

Ms. Stewart holds a Master of Science in Economics from the University of the West Indies and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Charterholder. She is a founding member of CFA Society Jamaica where she serves on the Governance and Finance Committees. Ms. Stewart also volunteers on the Jamaica Business Development Corporation’s Advisory Panel Board which offers business coaching services to MSMEs.
