Edward “Teddy” Alexander is the founder and Executive Chairman of tTech Limited, the first Jamaican information technology company to be listed on the Junior Market of the Jamaica Stock Exchange. His vision is to assist companies to improve the effectiveness of their investments in information technology by minimizing the cost of ownership of their infrastructure while maximizing the value from their business applications, ultimately leading to systems which contribute to increased competitiveness and profitability.
Prior to starting tTech in 2006, Teddy was the Chief Information Officer for GraceKennedy with responsibility for the company’s information systems. Under his leadership several innovations in the use of technology were implemented which helped to create the foundation for the company’s growth locally and internationally.
Between 2001 and 2006 Teddy was based in Florida as the President of GraceKennedy USA. During that period, he gained invaluable experience of the international arena and developed his understanding of how companies can use information technology effectively to pursue their strategic goals.
Prior to joining GraceKennedy in 1988, Teddy worked as a management consultant with KPMG, and as an Energy Engineer with PCJ Engineering, the Petroleum Corporation of Jamaica, and the Ministry of Mining and Energy.
He holds a Master of Science degree from the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Windsor. In addition, he has completed professional courses at the Harvard Business School and the University of Florida. A keen sportsman, he serves on the board of CAC 2000 Limited and his alma mater, Jamaica College.
