Camille has over 30 years of expertise in corporate governance, contract and commercial law, telecommunications, banking as well as trusts and estates. Regional Vice President / Senior Vice President / General Counsel & Corporate Secretary are among the capacities in which she operated at Cable & Wireless and Sagicor, two publicly traded companies in the financial and telecommunications sectors. She has served as the Deputy Chair of both the Caribbean Association of National Telecommunications Organizations (CANTO), and the Cable & Wireless Jamaica Foundation. Camille has held a number of directorships within public and private sector entities, among them are the National Foundation for the Development of Science & Technology; Universal Access Fund Company Limited; Board of Trustees of Caribbean & Central American Action (CCAA); Arts Foundation of the Edna Manley College; and the National Development Foundation of Jamaica. More recently she was Chairman of Lifespan Company Limited.
In addition to her legal expertise, Camille’s business acumen and leadership skills are world class. She has received awards for excellence in creating, developing and leading highly effective and engaged professional teams and has been featured by the Gleaner Company Ltd as one of the Phenomenal Women of Jamaica. In addition to her law practice she has recently launched a new venture Facey Corporate Services which provides corporate governance and corporate secretarial services to both public and private entities.
In pursuit of her passion to improve leadership and be a part of a groundswell of growth and development in her homeland Jamaica, she unreservedly and unswervingly maximises opportunities that will achieve that goal. As such she is currently President of the International Women’s Forum (Jamaica chapter); serves as a director on the board of Youth Reaching Youth and the National Solid Waste Management Authority, where she chairs the Corporate Governance Committee. Camille is a member of the Private Sector Organization of Jamaica serving on its Corporate Governance Committee, and a member of the Jamaica Bar Association serving on both its Commercial Law and Conveyancing Committees. Camille conducts governance and corporate law training on behalf of the Jamaica Stock Exchange and the Private Sector Organization of Jamaica and is a sought after speaker, presenter, panelist and moderator.
