Bruce Scott is the Regional Risk Assurance Leader, for PwC Caribbean Region Network of PwC firms. He is a regional subject matter expert on Enterprise Risk Management (ERM), Information Technology Risks and Controls and Business Continuity Planning (BCP). He has been with the firm for 27 years, and has over 14 years’ experience performing ERM, BCP and IT related services.

Bruce has obtained international risk management experience during a six-month tour of duty with the Global Risk Management Solutions practice of PwC Toronto office, where he worked on several risk related projects. He also completed the main PwC course on ERM at PwC London and is certified in Risk and Information System Control (CRISC). He has done extensive risk management work across the region.

Mr Scott has an MBA from Manchester Business School (Finance), and also completed an Executive Education program at the world renowned INSEAD Business School, at the Fontainebleau, campus in France. He is also a certified business continuity professional (CBCP), with Disaster Recovery Institute International. He holds 11 credentials in a wide cross section of fields. He was at one point the youngest Jamaican ever to qualify as a professional accountant, doing so at age 21.

He is immediate Past President of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Jamaica, and serves on a number of Boards, including as Technical Advisor to a Board member that sits on the global body that oversees accounting in the world i.e. International Federation of Accountants (IFAC). He is also Chairman of the Board of his local church.

Bruce is also a motivational speaker and has worked with companies (e.g. CEO’s) to inspire their employees to rise up and achieve their personal goals as well as the company’s goals. In his speeches he shares his personal journey and an inspirational formula for success. In addition, he also speaks to a wide cross section of other audiences. He is also a regular speaker at local and regional conferences, having presented papers on business continuity planning, internal auditing, enterprise risk management and information security, at events staged by a multiplicity of local and regional bodies.

Mr Scott has written several articles on risk management issues including one (“Completing the ERM Circle”) that he co-authored and which was published in the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) UK Magazine (2012).

He is a Christian, is married to one wife and have 3 young sons. In his spare time, he plays golf, develops his budding keyboard /piano skills and likes to share his views on world religions.
