Sagicor Group Jamaica Limited (SJ) has advised that it has completed the sale of its shares in Sagicor Real Estate X Fund (SREF). This was done through a series of transactions which led to
the disposal of all its shareholding in the company effective September 30, 2022.
After careful consideration, SGJ has decided that the deconsolidation of SREF allows SREF to better realise its potential and will help to improve shareholder value for SREF shareholders. SGJ expects the
stand-alone operation of SREF to accelerate and expand its activities, as it implements its strategic priorities.
In support of this decision, two of its directors, Messrs. Christopher Zacca and Dodridge Miller demitted office as directors of SREF effective September 30, 2022.
