Regulatory & Market Oversight Division Workshop

The Regulatory & Market Oversight Division (RMOD), a subsidiary of the Jamaica Stock Exchange (JSE), will be hosting a workshop on Communicating in a Crisis and Timely Disclosure on Tuesday, November 18 at 10:00am at the Terra Nova All- Suites Hotel.

 

In the wake of the Global Financial Crisis and its prevailing uncertainties, as well as possible effects on the Jamaican marketplace, the workshop is seen as a timely intervention which will help companies with the fundamentals of crisis communication.

 This workshop is designed for CEOs, Managing Directors, Attorneys-at-law, Company Secretaries, Heads of Training, Communications Managers, Communications Specialists, Marketing Managers, Marketing Officers and PR Officers.

 

Companies will learn about best practices and the tools that they can use to communicate accurate information to stake-holders in a manner that addresses their concerns and inspires confidence especially in a time of crisis.

 Topics that will be examined include: Legal Requirements on Disclosure, Regulatory Requirements, Dealing with Rumours, Maintaining the balance between disclosure and confidentiality, framework for communicating in a crisis, media policies & procedures, collateral material and handling media interviews, among other things.

 

The cost for the workshop is $5,000.00 including all course materials and coffee break.
