Paramount Trading (Jamaica) Limited has announced the election of Mr. Radcliff Knibbs as Non-Executive Chairman of the Board of Directors. Mr. Knibbs’ election was confirmed at the first meeting of the Board held on April 4, 2013.
Mr. Knibbs is the Co-Managing Director of CMK Bakery Limited, operator of nine Juici Patties restaurant franchises. He began his career in 1983 as a self employed trader in seafoods, selling to hotel and restaurant concerns. Mr. Knibbs subsequently worked in marketing at both the Jamaica National Export Corporation (1985 to 1987) and Shell Chemicals Jamaica Limited (1987 to 1989) before moving into the restaurant business as Managing Director of Inglewood Investment Limited.
Mr. Knibbs is a graduate of the Executive M.B.A. program at Florida International University, where he was honoured with a leadership award, and also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Pure and Applied Chemistry (Hons.) from the University of the West Indies. He is a former member of the board of directors of the Civil Aviation Authority (2004 to 2011) and the Rosemount Primary and Junior High School.
