John A. Andrews hails from the Islands of St. Vincent and the Grenadines in the Caribbean SVG. He’s a prolific, International Bestselling author whose works include:
- The Rude Buay series: A gritty “drug prevention” action thriller which delves into the drug corruption, the deception, the deceit, of the drug epidemic sweeping through Jamaica and up into America. A series of books which many has already dubbed “A Black James Bond Series.”
- Other works include The Whodunit Chronicles. A courtroom style musically driven mystery series: Who Shot the Sheriff? with a third book in its trilogy, waiting in the wings.
- Also, making up the Whodunit series is the rugged NYPD style mystery: A Snitch on Time.
- A Hard-Boiled detective work in Renegade Cops series is giving birth to its first sequel.
His writing portfolio also includes numerous books on success for both teens and adults as well. Andrews has also co-written with his eldest sons Jonathan and Jefferri Andrews now 21 and 19.
John Andrews studied acting at Lee Strasberg Institute in NYC and later brought his acting to Hollywood in 1997. He continued honing his craft at Van Mar Academy under the tutelage of Ivan Markota, the Star-maker. According to Andrews “The late Ivan Markota didn’t just teach me acting but he taught me the business of Hollywood and today I see why.” John Andrews has since been seen in multiple TV campaigns as well as “A” movies and Indie films.
Revered by many as a visionary, who, after being denied the rights to a film in 2002, which he badly wanted to remake, decided to would write his own. That rejection not only help triggered his writing career but now he’s poised to bringing some of his work to the Big Screen as well as Video Game in the case of Rude Buay.
When asked, who in the entertainment industry made a tremendous impact on his career, Andrews points directly to one of Hollywood’s top film producers in Mark Burg. Andrews has been under Burg’s tutelage and seen many films come to the big screen including JOHN Q starring Denzel Washington, most of the SAW franchise and others as well.
According to Andrews: “Mark. Burg always invited me on the set, whether film or TV. I embraced those opportunities. Burg always kept me in the know and was never reluctant when it came to introducing me to his many allies in the entertainment world. On the set, I learned how to see things through a producer’s eyes. One of the gems I picked up from him is that he always came in under budget.” Mr. Andrews is the father of 3 boys, Jonathan, Jefferri and Jamison. He heads up the New York-based ALI Pictures LLC, a film Production Company with the two upcoming films in pre-production: Rude Buay … The Unstoppable and Who Shot The Sheriff? slated for a 2017 back to back production.
