JSE Regional Investments & Capital Markets Conference 2017 – Dr. Janice Simmonds-Fisher, Speaks on Wednesday January 25, 2017

The Regional Investments and Capital Markets hosted annually by the Jamaica Stock Exchange (JSE) is in its 12th year. The Conference attracts an elite group of executives and sponsors from different industries in Jamaica and across the region. Conference 2017 will be held from Tuesday, January 24th to Thursday, January 26th, 2017 at The Jamaica Pegasus Hotel, Kingston, Jamaica, under the theme “Global Investment Horizon: Our Options & Future”. By its successful staging each year, JSE’s Regional Conference has earned its place as a calendar event to which government officials, leading experts in business, investors and other stakeholders, locally, regionally and international look forward to attend each year.

Dr Janice Simmonds-Fisher is a medical doctor trained at the University of the West Indies, Mona, Jamaica.  Her field of interest is Integrative Medicine, and to that end has completed:

  • Fellowship in The American Academy of Anti- Aging Medicine
  • Doctor of Natural Medicine Degree
  • and is enrolled in a PhD in Nutrition, at the Tropical Metabolic Research Unit at UWIShe is the clinical director of Bio-regeneration Integrated Medical Centre where regenerative therapies such as stem cells, growth factors, and extra cellular scaffolds are utilized in therapies to assist healing and pain control. A case series is being authored on the clinical applications of stem cells in orthopedics. Dr. Fisher presents the concepts of regenerative medicine for research and clinical application in Jamaica.
  • Dr. Fisher has been looking at biologic repair with enhanced nutrition and Stem Cells for the past four years. In 2012, she was trained at BioHeart Labs in Regenerative Medicine and Tissue Engineering Techniques. She assisted with the ANGEL Phase 1; an FDA approved clinical trial in adipose derived stem cells, for over a year.
