Profile of Dr. W. Stanley Beecham
Dr. W. Stanley Beecham attended the University of Georgia and graduated with a B.A. in Psychology in 1983. Stan then earned a Masters degree from Augusta College while working and conducting research at the Medical College of Georgia Hospital. In 1994, he earned his Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the Georgia School of Professional Psychology. While reading for his Doctorate, he worked and taught at Georgia Institute of Technology. Dr. Beecham completed his internship at the University of Virginia Counseling Center.
Dr. Beecham continued his career by founding the Sport Psychology Program for the University of Georgia Athletic Association. During his four years in Athens, he worked with teams and athletes who have gone on to win both Conference and National Championships. He also worked with members of the 1996 gold medal winning Women’s Gymnastics Team. Dr. Beecham remains a consultant to various athletes and teams throughout the United States.
Since 1998, Dr. Beecham has focused his professional energies on assisting businesses to maximize their performance and potential through the selection and development of their management talent. He spends most of his time coaching and consulting with senior managers to develop themselves and their organizations.
Stan is the founding member and principal of the Leadership Resource Center, Atlanta, GA. The Leadership Resource Center provides professional services and products to businesses and also supports them in the selection and development of their leaders and managers.
