Jamaica Public Service Company Limited (JPS) has advised that the Board of Directors will be asked to consider the declaration of payment of dividends on preference shares at its meeting scheduled for September 16, 2008. The company has also advised that the Board of Directors at its meeting held on June 12, 2008 declared quarterly dividends payable on October 1, 2008 to
shareholders on record at the close of business on September 15, 2008 on the under mentioned classes of Preference Shares:
1 ¾ % on the 7% Cumulative Preference Shares “B” of 3.5 cents
1 ¼ % on the 5% Cumulative Preference Shares “C” of 2.5 cents
1 ¼ % on the 5% Cumulative Preference Shares “D” of 2.5 cents
1 ½ % on the 6% Cumulative Preference Shares “E” of 3 cents
The X-Date is September 11, 2008.
