JAMAICA PRODUCERS GROUP Ltd.(JP) -ANNOUNCES MANAGEMENT CHANGES

Marshall Hall Announces Retirement

Group Managing Director of Jamaica Producers Group, Dr. Marshall Hall today announced his retirement, effective June 30 2007. Dr. Hall has been at the helm of Jamaica Producers (JP) for 28 years. Under his tenure, JP emerged as the largest banana grower in the Caribbean and the leading manufacturer of fresh juices and smoothies in the UK. Dr. Hall was awarded the Order of Distinction, Commander Class, for his contribution to the Jamaican banana industry and, in 2005, was admitted to the PSOJ Hall of Fame for outstanding leadership in Jamaican business.

Charles Johnston, Chairman of Jamaica Producers Group, indicated that Dr. Hall would not be retiring as a director of Jamaica Producers and was likely to play an active non-executive role. According to Mr. Johnston, “Dr. Hall has been an outstanding leader of JP. JP has seen very significant and positive changes during his time as the CEO, and we want to ensure that his expertise is still available to the Group. The entire board and staff join me in wishing him every success in the future.”

New JP Leader Appointed

Mr. Charles Johnston today also announced that Mr. Jeffrey Hall has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of Jamaica Producers Group. The appointment is effective from July 1, 2007. Jeffrey Hall currently serves as Divisional Director of JP with responsibility for the Group’s banana, fresh produce and shipping businesses. He is credited with leading the rebuilding of the Group’s banana businesses and delivering a turnaround to profitability after their destruction by Hurricanes Ivan, Dennis and Emily in 2004 and 2005. In 2006, Jeffrey Hall served as the lead executive on a series of transactions that saw JP exit its UK fresh produce and banana distribution business (in a J$2.75 billion sale to the Dole Food Company) and expand its UK logistics arm.

Jeffrey Hall stated: “JP is an excellent platform for growth. We have a good team, a strong balance sheet and a strong market presence in the UK food sector. We will, however, have to aggressively restructure certain aspects of our business in order to take best advantage of the opportunities available to us. I look forward to the challenge and I am confident that our team is ready to embrace the necessary changes.”

Jeffrey Hall received a Masters in Public Policy (International Finance) and Juris Doctorate, with honours, from HarvardUniversity. He received a first degree in Economics, with highest honours, from WashingtonUniversity. Mr. Hall practised banking and securities law at Davis Polk and Wardwell in New York. He was also a senior executive at FINSAC, where he was involved in the acquisition and restructuring of various Jamaican financial institutions. Before joining JP, he was a founding partner of the Caribbean Investment Fund. He presently serves as a director of Jamaica Trade and Invest (JAMPRO) and the Jamaica Stock Exchange. He has served as a director of the Bank of Jamaica.
