The Jamaica Stock Exchange e-Campus will be hosting a two-day Director Development Webinar, coaching on “Finance for Non-Financial Directors”, Thursday and Friday, September 10 & 11, 2020, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. via the ZOOM platform.
The Covid-19 pandemic has brought to the fore a re-focus on financial concepts, measurements and tools that are necessary to employ as we plan and develop new strategies for a changing world. Board members at the executive and non-executive levels need a robust understanding of these varying financial concepts and tools to effectively discharge their duties. The Learning Outcomes of this webinar have been designed to equip non-accounting board members with the relevant financial skills and knowledge to interpret financial information received.
We invite you to join this virtual two-day interactive development programme, where you will draw upon the experiences of presenters and attendees. Case studies will also be used to ensure that examples of good practice are understood and re-enforced. Some key topics that will be covered are Governance and Finance, Internal Financial Management, External Financial Reporting, stakeholder perspectives and interpreting financial ratios.
