First Caribbean International Bank (FCIB) – Acquisition

On January 31, 2006 the acquisition of ABN AMRO’s Curacao branch by First Caribbean International Bank became final. As a result, all banking and asset management activities in Curacao will be re-branded First Caribbean International Bank (Curacao) N.V. and First Caribbean Wealth Management (Curacao) N.V.  respectively. This take-over will make FirstCaribbean one of the region’s leading providers of international banking services. Curacao is the seventeenth country in which FirstCaribbean will have established a presence in the last three years.
