Dawn-Marie Brown

Presently the Director in charge of Monitoring and Risk Assessment at the Jamaica Deposit Insurance Corporation (JDIC) and a Board Member of the Manpower Maintenance Foundation, Dawn- Marie has over 25 years of experience in the financial sector in particular areas of commercial banking, financial co-operatives (Building Societies and Credit Unions) and insurance.   

She has been contributing to the development of regulations and policies for the financial sector and public sector institutions.  Her past and present experience have made her very conversant with sound management, governance and accountability principles and practices. In addition, throughout her career she has sharpened my skills in marketing, credit underwriting, debt management, service delivery, regulations and corporate governance.

She currently possesses a MBA Degree in General Management, Bachelor of Science Degree in Human Resource Management and Post Graduate diplomas in Finance   Corporate Governance, in addition to certification in Risk Management.

She is an avid social worker, having served in her Church in various roles, including being a Co-Chair of the Church’s Community Care Ministry, which has 16 sub-Ministries including Prison, Basic School, Senior Citizens Home, Education Fund, Counselling Centre, In-reach and Outreach, Employment and Financial Counselling. She is also a Justice of the Peace and a trained Counsellor.
