Nickard Swaby is currently employed at NCB Capital Markets as a Junior Research Analyst. He has been an Analyst for almost 2 years and holds a MSc in Economics, and a BSc in Banking and Finance and Economics, both from the University of the West Indies.
Nickard’s deep love for mathematics and accounting led him to financial research where he has been able to combine both disciplines to perform investigative analyses and analyze financial market trends to aid with investment decisions.
He aspires to become one of the most successful and highly talented financial analysts in the Jamaican sphere while playing a vital role in not only developing the financial markets of Jamaica but also in the overall financial stability of the economy. He believes that financial stability is the key for any economy to not only survive but thrive and sustain economic growth and development.
Nickard is also very passionate about education. As such, he has devoted much of his spare time tutoring and mentoring young minds to become their best selves. He believes that by doing so, he will be able, in his small way, to help Jamaica to become a better place. His mantra is, in order to break the cycle of poverty, education is vital.
