CEO Seminar and Forum: Utilizing Capital to Drive Digital Transformation

The Jamaica Stock Exchange (JSE), eCampus on March 29, 2023, hosted a  CEO Seminar and  Forum,  in partnership with  international consultancy firm McKinsey & Company, at the Pegasus Hotel. Attending this forum were CEOs from companies listed on the JSE as well as business leaders from various industries to explore key strategies for transformation in the digital age.

The seminar featured a lineup of renowned consultants from McKinsey & Company, Mr. Felipe Villarreal – Partner, Miss. Amalia Toro – Julio Giraut Partner, and Mr. Julio Giraut all based in Panama. These speakers shared insights on the challenges and opportunities of digital transformation, as well as practical tools and strategies for driving change in organizations.

The keynote address was delivered by Mr. Ungad Chadda, former Vice President of the TMX group inf Canada. Mr. Chadda shared his insights on how to leverage capital to fund digital transformation initiatives. Mr. Chadda emphasized the importance of investing in technology as a means of achieving long-term growth and competitiveness. He also spoke about the opportunities and challenges of digital transformation in emerging economies like Jamaica.

In addition, the National Commercial Bank (NCB) Group Chairman , Mr. Patrick Hylton, shared his insights on the role of the CEO from a local perspective in the transformation process, drawing from his extensive experience in leading one of Jamaica’s largest financial institutions. Representatives from NCB’s digital transformation team, including NCB Capital Market, NCB Bank, and Lynk, were also part of the lineup of panelists who participated. They shared their experiences and insights on how NCB is leveraging digital transformation to drive growth and competitiveness in the financial services industry.
