C&W Jamaica is to spend some $800 million over the next eight weeks putting in place an overlay of its mobile transmission network. The centerpiece of the investment this year is the introduction of 850MIIz frequency for GSM transmission which will result in significantly improved coverage – ‘in-building’ coverage – for GSM customers in the Corporate Area and major townships.
