JSE’s Managing Director, Dr. Marlene Street Forrest was the guest speaker on Sunday, April 30, 2023 at a double event held at the multi-purpose center, 40 Harbour Street.
One event with two purposes, saw Ms. Phyllis Thomas a member of the Swallowfield Chapel launching her book entitled “I Dare You” while celebrating her mother’s 99th birthday.
Master of Ceremonies commenced the event which was thereafter opened with a prayer from Pastor David Henry of Swallowfield Chapel. Mr. Henry then officially welcomed all present and proceeded to introduce participants.
This was quickly followed by Mrs. “T” cutting her cake, in celebration of her 99th birthday, which she celebrated with both families and friends. A tribute was then given by a Patty Care Group Representative followed by a song, sung by Ms. Marsha McIntyre, another Swallowfield Chapel member.
The evening events came to a fitting end with tokens of appreciation being presented, followed by book signing and presentation.
