On Wednesday, July 20, 2016 at 12 noon, PTL, in partnership with Allegheny Petroleum, will be hosting the Ground-breaking Ceremony for their new blending facility. PTL says, this state-of-the-art facility will boast equipment that collects and monitors point of consumption data in real-time and will be integrated with existing production planning, logistics and cost management programs. It will also provide real-time reporting on contract compliance, auditing of lubricant vendor performance as well as, consumption forecasting.
PTL advises that the facility will be equipped with its own lab which will conduct day-to-day quality-based evaluations to ensure that the market will receive only high quality lubricants and oils. This means that they would be able to provide custom blends to the market according to particular customer specifications instead of a ‘one size fits all’ approach; the first service of this nature in Jamaica.
PTL adds that blending their lubricants and oils in Jamaica on this large scale will give them additional opportunity to further contribute to the GDP through not only manufacturing but, also through potential exports to the wider region.
