Mr. Eric Scott, FCCA, FCA, CPA, CIA

Eric Scott is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Jamaica, as well as a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA). He also holds the designations of Certified Public Accountant (CPA), and Certified Internal Auditor (CIA).

Mr. Scott is a past recipient of the ICAJ Foundation Stage Award for the completion of all level 1 examinations in one sitting, as well as the Sushil Jain Award for being the youngest person to complete the ACCA exams during 1996.

Eric is actively involved in the profession and contributes by serving as the Vice-Chairman of ICAJ’s Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Committee since 2011 and a member since 2005; Presenter at ICAJ seminars, member of ICAJ’s Future of the Profession Committee since 2006; and Board Member of the Public Accountancy Board (PAB).

He is a Senior Audit Manager at the RBC Financial Caribbean with responsibility for Jamaica, Bahamas and Cayman. He leads a team of internal auditors in conducting objective periodic assessment of the organisation’s risk mitigation practices and assessing the Bank’s level of compliance with banking and financial institution regulations. He has also served as the Chief Internal Auditor, RBC Bank (Jamaica) Limited. Prior to this, Mr. Scott worked in Audit and Assurance at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) as a Manager and at KPMG as an Accountant.

Eric has a wide experience in financial accounting, external and internal auditing and has participated in audits across may countries, in varied organisations which has exposed him to different accounting system, IT systems, operations and control procedures.
