The Market Research Competition culminated with an Awards Ceremony at the Jamaica Pegasus Hotel on May 15, 2008. Prizes were presented to the second runner up, Miss Keisha Bennett, ICWI Investments Limited, the first runner up Miss Lisandra Rickards of Stocks & Securities Limited and the overall winner Mr. Shane Ingram formerly of Scotia DBG Investments Ltd.

The night saw the chairman Mr. Claremont Kirton making a passionate call for corporate Jamaica, Listed Companies and Broker Members in particular, to support the competition, as it provides valuable company analysis necessary to help the investing public make informed investment decisions. The keynote speaker was the Hon. Emil George, Q.C., O.J chairman of the Financial Services Commission.
