C2W Music Ltd. – New Songwriters Signed & Fifth Songwriting Camp
C2W Music Ltd., the Caribbean's first publicly-listed and traded Intellectual Property company, is pleased to announce the completion of its fifth songwriting camp, on the beautiful Island of Anguilla. In attendance were nine (9) world-class songwriters, including 4 C2W songwriters, Candy Gloster, Mark Cyrus and newly signed Rupert Gayle and Shazelle. Accompanying the songwriters wereMax Gousse, Senior Vice President of A&R for Island/Def Jam Records, Qiana Conley, A&R Consultant to JLS (massive British pop boy’s band) and C2W's CEO, Ivan Berry. In a one-week series of collaborations throughout 3 mobile recording studios, the songwriters have written another 17 songs in the pop genre. The Anguilla camp was another ground-breaking event.
In other GREAT news, C2W is so proud to announce the signing of 2 superstar songwriters to exclusive music publishing contracts.
Rupert Gayle, Jamaica/Canadian songwriter has had an amazing career in Canada writing numerous #1 hits for artist around the World. Rupert has had numerous publishing deals with major music publishers such as Warner Chappell Music Publishing, BMG/Universal Music Publishing and ole. Rupert now joins the C2W team and brings with him, over 200 copyrights. Rupert is a proud Jamaican that enjoyed a fruitful career in Canada, and so excited to return to a Jamaica registered company to handle his songwriting career exclusively.
Shazelle, a top Trinidadian songwriter/artist has also joined the C2W team. Shazelle is Trinidad’s premiere Pop recording artist and songwriter. She is receiving global attention as her music is released on Universal in Canada, Universal in the Middle East and JVC Victor in Japan. Shazelle tours throughout the World and writes continuously. Shazelle recently enjoyed the #2 chart position in the Japanese digital downloads charts, with a song featuring Beenie Man entitled “State Of Emergency, in which C2W is the majority stakeholder of the music publishing and copyright.
C2W is as well pleased to announce that, as of this date, the company now has intellectual property ownership in over 550 songs, and continues to be well ahead of Business Plan projections. |
